On a cold and cloudy day, the potential for energy generation on farms was demonstrated and discussed at the Aarhus University campus in Viborg.
Three different technology platforms are connected within Value4Farm here, where their potential coupling is analysed to support local food, energy and material production using a circular farming model.

A diverse group of stakeholders participated, including farmers, municipal representatives, officials from the new Tripartite Ministry, an energy company, university staff and local residents.
Interesting discussions took place at the agrivoltaic platform (PV panels with arable farming in between), the green biorefinery platform (exploitation of green leaves for several products), and the biomethanation platform (biological upgrading of the CO₂ part of the biogas into methane using power from the PV panels).
