University
Aarhus University (AU) is Denmark’s second-largest university, with 38,000 students, five faculties, and research activities all over the country. The activities on agriculture, biorefining, biogas, and power-to-X research are mainly located at the campus in Viborg, where there is a tradition for close cooperation with farmers and industries on creating sustainable solutions.
AU is responsible for the Danish demonstration site which includes an agrivoltaic platform, a green biorefinery, and a biogas platform including methanation research. AU will coordinate WP3, focusing on demonstrating the optimised protocol and value chains in renewable fuel-based solutions and technologies and designing productive and energy-efficient crop rotation for farmers’ need in the Atlantic pedoclimatic region
