Last week, Value4Farm results were presented at the 3rd openLCA Conference, a key event bringing together researchers and practitioners to explore the latest advancements in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and sustainability. The conference featured in-depth sessions on agriculture, energy systems, bioeconomy, circularity, as well as social and policy impacts, alongside hands-on training to strengthen practical skills.<\/p>\n\n\n

Enrique Alejandro Perdomo Echenique<\/a> gave a presentation entitled “Measuring Circularity under Planetary Constraints: Circular Economy Indicators in a Holistic Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment of a Belgian Biogas Value Chain.” This highlighted how V4F applies a holistic life cycle sustainability assessment to evaluate circularity in renewable energy value chains at farm level, demonstrating how biogas solutions can contribute to energy autonomy, nutrient recovery and sustainable food production.

This conference was a great opportunity to exchange with the LCA community and showcase how Value4Farm is supporting the transition towards resilient, circular and energy-efficient farming systems.
