Earlier this month, the Value4Farm consortium<\/strong> gathered in Piacenza, Italy<\/strong>, for its 5th meeting<\/strong>, hosted by our partner Universit\u00e0 Cattolica del Sacro Cuore<\/strong>. This in-person meeting was a valuable opportunity for partners to exchange updates, align on next steps, and strengthen our shared mission: defossilising the agricultural sector through locally adapted renewable energy solutions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The discussions were constructive and forward-looking, helping us shape the path ahead for demonstrating three innovative value chains across Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the meeting, the consortium also visited three inspiring sites:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two agrivoltaic demonstration sites<\/strong> led by Universit\u00e0 Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and equipped with REM TEC APV solutions<\/strong>, showcasing how crop production and solar energy can work hand in hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A biomethane farm<\/strong> operated by CIB, Consorzio Italiano Biogas, one of our replication leaders, demonstrating circularity in farming and energy autonomy through the conversion of agricultural residues into renewable energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These visits provided concrete examples of how renewable energy technologies<\/strong> can be successfully integrated into farming systems, creating synergies between energy and food production while contributing to sustainability and climate goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
