The new edition of Biogas Italy, the event of Value4Farm’s partner CIB (Italian Biogas Consortium) dedicated to the agricultural biogas supply chain, saw the participation of many companies in the sector, Italian and European institutions and agricultural associations that took stock of the future scenarios outlined with the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), the trajectories indicated by the National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan (PNIEC) to achieve the production objectives for 2030. The Minister for the Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, also took part in the work on the first day. From the stage, he announced the signing of the decree on agroecological measures.

“The edition of Biogas Italy 2024 – declared President Piero Gattoni – is part of a year full of challenges for the sector and underlines the commitment of the biogas supply chain towards carbon negative agriculture, building a new trajectory for the transition energy and climate of the country. It is the challenge that as CIB we can sign up to: organic fertilization, agriculture 4.0, new agricultural practices for soil protection, production of renewable energy. A model that in recent years we have also included in the Farming for Future project and which represents the possible way to achieve the decarbonisation objectives”.

The appointment was, in fact, also an opportunity to present and launch a preview of the new Farming for Future Foundation, which arises from the roots of the CIB project of the same name, born in 2020 from the desire to enclose in a road map in 10 actions, the good practices adopted by the members of the Consortium for the future of agriculture.
